Disaster Recovery: Fire-Water-Wind
One of the vital keys in disaster recovery is effective planning for a quick response time as this market is truly unique because of the inherit complexity and the uncertainty about the nature, direction or length of service.  The ability to commit workforce and resources quickly will enable the Contractor to provide disaster capabilities because of the unpredictable characteristics of natural disasters – wind – water or fire.

For decades, Wilkie has been performing repairs or replacement of public facilities or private facilities and homes.  Wilkie understands the nature and the exposure of both the loss claimant and the insurance carrier including our responsibilities to each and to the governmental agencies, codes and policies that we must adhere to and follow.

We are familiar with the process of completing, filing, documenting and invoicing the national insurance company and their regional representatives in such disasters.  Our response time to both the claimant and the insurance carrier can be within a matter of hours or within a few days.

After hurricanes Charlie and Katrina hit the Gulf Coast and the Southeast, Wilkie Construction Company aligned their company and their associates with two FEMA National Disaster Relief Contractors.  We are a second tier response contractor for many locations in the Southeast and the Gulf.  We are familiar with the procedures, documentation, needs to perform and support our operations when we are called on in national disasters.
